This year's mental health awareness week campaign slogan is "move more for mental health" and I'm sharing with you some daily tips to help you find more moments to move within your week, to boost your energy levels and improve mental health.
Today's tip is all about getting your hands dirty... in the garden that is!
Gardening is a real double whammy as not only is the lifting, bending, reaching and carrying great for your fitness and helps get you moving, but gardening in and of itself has been shown to have positive mental health benefits.
Research also suggests that gardening can even improve your gut microbiome*! Who knew?!

Whether it's big jobs and heavy lifting, or simply potting up a couple of plants in a small outdoor space, why not try some gardening this summer to help get you moving and give your mental health a boost?!
